The Perfect Espresso Martini Recipe

Now a classic drink, Espresso Martini was created in the late 80s right here in London by legendary cocktail bartender Dick Bradsell, for a taste that is both dark yet sensational. This unusual combination of slightly bitter espresso with the light, citrusy and sweet taste of vodka, will surprise you with its unexpected deliciousness.

If you’re looking to recreate this classic cocktail at home, we also have an Espresso Martini recipe for you to be an at-home bartender!

Ingredients

  • 50ml of your preferred vodka

  • 35ml of coffee liqueur

  • 1 shot (25ml) of freshly brewed espresso

  • Ice

  • Garnish: Coffee beans

Methods

  1. Pour the vodka, coffee liqueur, freshly brewed espresso and ice into a cocktail shaker. Now shake it, vigorously, as the ice smashing up with the liquid will create that luxurious froth that we all wanted.

  2. Once finished, fine strain the contents and pour it through a sieve directly into the chilled cocktail glass, as this will helps create that rich and smooth froth on top of the cocktail.

  3. Garnish with 3 coffee beans for that extra aroma and look.
